Ostokhodus Booali Daroo Syrup
275 ml
Ingredients:
Polypodium vulgar, Corthamus lanatus, Zizyphus jujuba, Cordia myxa, Lavandula angustifolia, Matricaria recutita, Centaurea cyanus, Cuscuta epithymum, Colchicum automnale
Dosage:
Mix one tablespoons of the syrup in ½ cup of lukewarm water and drink 30-min before breakfast and before sleep.
Indications:
Choleric Humor expellent, help the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder, relieving the stiffness of joints
Storage conditions:
Keep the product away from light and protect it from freezing at temperatures below 20°C.
Recommended Precautions:
There is a probability of diarrhea and gripes.
The use of this medication is forbidden during pregnancy and lactation, in patients with renal or hepatic failure and during high menstrual bleeding.
There is a probability of increase in the effect of anticoagulant medications such as Warfarin and sedatives. It is better to not use these medications simultaneously
It should be used with cautious in cases of inflammation or digestive problems.

Ostokhodus Booali Daroo syrup is a completely herbal syrup and effective in the treatment of choleric diseases.
This syrup is made from the combination of herbs of Polypody, carthamus, jujube, cordial myxa, Lavender, chamomile, corn flower, cuscuta, naked ladies, which are pointed as sedative herbs in traditional medicine sources.
Lavender is one of the native Iranian medicinal essential herbs belonged to Lamiaceae family, and is traditionally used in the treatment of joints pain, gripes and head cold.
There are reports on the therapeutic effects of lavender extract such as relief of nervous exhaustion and depression, analgesic and sedative properties.
The most important constituents of lavender are geraniol, linalool, linalyl, cineol, alpha-pinene and camphor, which can probably reinforce the effect of herb on central nervous system and lead to sedative and analgesic effects through GABA receptors.
Many studies have been conducted to investigate the effects of these constituents of this herbal medication.
A study investigated the effect of inhalation aroma of lavender on the stress of employed nurses in intensive care units within two control and case groups. In this study, which was conducted on 70 employed nurses in intensive care units, the level of stress in nurses was assessed before and after the intervention. Intervention includes inhalation of lavender aroma through label in each shift for 20 minutes. The study showed that lavender aroma can reduce the level of stress in nurses of intensive care units.
In another study, the comparative effect of lavender tincture with Imipramine on the treatment of moderate to mild depression was investigated. In this study, 45 patients were divided into three groups as below.
Sixty drops of lavender tincture and placebo tablet were daily administered to the first group, 100mg-tablet Imipramine and placebo droplet were daily administered to the second group and 100mg-tablet Imipramine and 60 droplets of lavender tincture were daily administered to the third group. The results showed that efficacy of lavender and Imipramine is better compared to other two groups.
Also, one clinical trial conducted on 697 patients investigated the anti-anxiety effect of silexan (active constitute of lavender). In this study, the patients were allocated into two medication and placebo groups. After a time- period of 10 weeks, the results showed the significant effect of silexan on patients. In another trial conducted on 5 patients, the anti-anxiety effect of chamomile was investigated. In this study, patients were allocated into two medication and placebo groups. After a time-period of 8-weeks, the results showed the significant effect of chamomile on patients. In addition, a study investigated the comparative anti-depressant effects of lavender and Citalopram on 80 patients. Regarding, patients were allocated into two groups. After a time-period of eight weeks, the results showed the positive effect of lavender on patients.
